The ALJOR Duo offers a concert this Friday with works for flute and piano, with works by Telemann, Bach, Chopin, Albéniz and others.
The ALJOR Duo will offer us on June 7 a concert in the Music Room of the University of Alcalá, with works for flute and piano, both solo and in ensemble, by George Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach, Frederic Chopin, Claude -Paul Taffanel, Isaac Albéniz and Giulio Briccialdi.
Álvaro Urbanos Jiménez , piano, was born in Madrid in 1990. He developed his career as a teacher at the SEK Educational Institution in Ciudalcampo and the Popular School of Music in Madrid. He began professionally to study piano with Asmik Chakhalyan at CSKG, finishing the Professional Degree with the highest marks and Honorable Mention.
Later he completed the Higher Degree under the tutelage of Master Yuri Ananiev and Master in solo interpretation as a student of Bruno Vlahek.
In 2018 he won the second prize and Gold Award as a finalist in the Oskar Rieding International Competition for Young Performers and Composers in Celje, Slovenia. It is worth highlighting his collaboration as a performing pianist in the short film “Le Prochain”, directed by Raúl Herrera.
Jorge Rodríguez Sanz was born and studied in Alcalá de Henares with professors such as Marco Antonio Pérez and Susana Recio. Later he continued training with teachers such as Antonio Nuez, Vicens Prats, Juana Guillem, Álvaro Octavio, Davide Formisano, and Philippe Bernold.
Winner of the first prize in the AFE contest at the Madrid convention (2010) and finalist in the Extraordinary Prize of the Community of Madrid, he has participated both as a member of the orchestra and as a soloist, with different groups and auditoriums spread throughout the national territory. He is currently a professor at various music centers and combines this facet with his activities as a performer with groups such as the Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra, the Verum Symphony Orchestra, and the Alcalá University Orchestra with which he regularly collaborates as a soloist.
